To blog it or not to blog it

As I have started to write, I realize that I can either be intensely personal in this blog or stay on the surface. My person would tend towards wanting to delve into personal matters. That being said, I'll have to limit who I tell about my blog. If I write about someone, I don't necessarily want them to read it here.

Fellow bloggers, do you only hand out your blog info to your "blog world". Do your parents, friends, co-workers, or in-laws read it? I am just curious. Some things I would love to journal are very personal and I'd be OK if strangers read it, but not people I know.

I think some of my lack of blogging has been due to the fact that I am not sure of all that I want to put out there. I guess time will help me figure that out.

I am still in Dallas this week. It has been a fine trip albeit hot. I always appreciate home a little more once I've been gone. I fly home tomorrow. We have a fun weekend coming up with family visiting and hopefully nice weather.

Thank you for the thoughtful comment on my blog! I have had a difficult time knowing what all to write on mine too since everyone I used to live by, (family, friends, and coworkers) all read it. I guess mine is mostly about the kids, but I would like to open up more too. Good luck! :)

As you already know, I pretty much let it all hang out on my blog. The only thing I don't write about it my marriage and work. Time will tell if that's a good idea or not. In the short term it has helped me a great deal. My line of thinking is that if you truly love me or want to be my friend, then you'll respect all of my non-marriage related thoughts and feelings. If not, then we've all learned something.

I found out recently that Danny's parents have been reading my blog. That made me very happy that I never wrote the post I've always been meaning to publish on Eunice teaching Emma to call her vagina a vulgar word that can also be used to talk about cats. :)

I say do what makes you feel comfortable. If there are things that you don't want to share with people you know, start another blog not related to Kary Nation and spill your guts there. You may find yourself speaking to people who really can benefit from what you're saying.

Nobody reads my blog besides you and a couple of other people, so I could probably write whatever I want! But I keep it rather tame and informative rather than personal. When I want to write something extremely personal, I usually put it in the form of lyrics, a poem or a music mix that's so impenetrable that no one can extract the meaning! Either this or I will discuss it with someone in person. I'm just not one to write things down directly very often. If I wanted to write about anyone who might read it, I would start an anonymous blog somewhere.
